Description
The Prince Edward Family Health Team (PEFHT) is seeking Family Physicians to join a well-established Family Health Organization (FHO) in Prince Edward County, Ontario. You will practice comprehensive, full-scope family medicine within a collaborative, team-based model supported by a large interdisciplinary team.
Physicians benefit from a blended capitation-based payment model, and opportunities to supplement income through optional work in the emergency department, long-term care, or hospice. Approximately 3–4 weeks per year of hospitalist coverage is required, with Nurse Practitioner support maintaining your office practice during this time.
You will be supported by an integrated Family Health Team offering 16+ clinical programs, including mental health, chronic disease management, palliative care, and maternal-child services, along with full EMR and IT support .

Requirements
- Eligible for independent practice registration in Ontario ( Austalian training is recognized as equivalent – no certification exams required)
- Commitment to providing comprehensive primary care within a FHO model
- Willingness to provide inpatient/hospitalist coverage (approx. 3–4 weeks annually) in our small community hospital
- Ability to establish practice in Prince Edward County (Picton or Wellington)
- Interest in collaborative, team-based care
