About the Role
Rochester Presbyterian Home (RPH) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team. This role is responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of a nonprofit senior living organization, ensuring long-term financial sustainability while supporting high-quality care for residents.
The CFO will partner closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to provide financial leadership across assisted living communities, with a strong focus on healthcare-related financial operations, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
This is a key leadership role for a healthcare finance executive who understands the complexities of senior living, including occupancy management, payer mix, reimbursement considerations, and cost containment in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
Provide executive-level financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decision-making
Monitor healthcare and senior living performance metrics such as occupancy, payer mix, labor costs, and margin performance
Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and applicable healthcare regulations
Oversee audits, financial reporting, and Board of Trustees presentations
Support financial stewardship of grants, donations, and restricted funds
Partner with clinical and operational leaders to align financial and care delivery priorities
Oversee finance team and manage relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, and external partners
Lead annual budgeting and long-range financial planning processes

Compensation
Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000 annually, commensurate with experience
(Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off)
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or senior finance leadership role
Healthcare, senior living, long-term care, or hospital finance experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, GAAP, and healthcare financial regulations
Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and/or private pay reimbursement environments preferred
Proven experience with multi-site budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management
Strong communication skills with ability to present financial information to executive leadership and Boards
Demonstrated leadership ability in a mission-driven healthcare organization
