Are you passionate about hands-on learning and guiding future nurses at the bedside? The School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for a 12-month faculty role that goes beyond traditional teaching supporting students in our Associate in Science (A.S.N) degree program.
In this dynamic position, you’ll serve as a clinical expert and professional role model, providing direct supervision, mentorship, and skill-building support to nursing students in acute and long-term care settings. Instructional Workload
- The Clinical Nurse Educator is a 12-month faculty position within the School of Nursing, responsible for direct supervision and clinical instruction of nursing students in health care settings.
- Average of 30 hours a week in clinicals and 10 hours supporting nursing labs and performing other tasks
- The Clinical Nurse Educator’s role is subject to annual renewal, with specific duties and time commitments varying based on operational needs, clinical site demands, accreditation requirements, and institutional resources.
- The length of the contract is in accordance with the academic calendar.
What are the Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. This position only requires a BSN.
- Must have current, active, and unencumbered licensure in the State of Florida as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience or clinical experience in an educational setting as a Registered Nurse or ARNP.
- Please note that you will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.
Salary Information:
This position qualifies for a Valencia College Pay Additive of $10,000 to be paid in biweekly installments in addition to the annual salary, prorated based on start date.
The salary ranges for each degree level are outlined below. An individual’s placement within these ranges is determined by two factors: the total number of years of relevant work experience and the highest degree earned.
BACHELORS $57,733 – $71,669 Per Year
MASTERS $62,753 – $77,900 Per Year
MASTERS + 30 $67,772 – $84,131 Per Year
DOCTORATE $70,284 – $87,249 Per Year
