Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Evergreen is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dedicated care team. The CNA will provide direct, hands-on care to our residents, ensuring they receive the highest level of comfort and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.
- Assist with repositioning and transferring residents to ensure their comfort and prevent complications.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring that rooms, common areas, and equipment are properly sanitized.
- Assist residents with incontinence care and other hygiene needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Assist with feeding residents and ensuring proper nutrition.
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Oregon.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient with residents.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of infection control procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to lift and move residents (with assistance as needed).
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform job tasks.
- May require handling occasional heavy lifting.
