Description
Yellowbrick and Synchrony Brain Health are currently seeking a psychiatrist to step into a pivotal Medical Director role as of July 1, 2026. The role oversees two nationally respected programs. One is dedicated to treating emerging adults (ages 16–30's) facing high-risk psychiatric challenges, and the second is outpatient psychiatry, emphasizing neuroscience technologies and wellness practices.
Yellowbrick is a world-class, private-pay partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program with a unique, integrated residential community model. Patients come from across the U.S. for this intensive, long-term care; offering neuroscience-driven and intensive psychotherapy approaches in an intimate clinical setting. This is a community where transformation happens, where trust is earned, and where clinicians are empowered to do what’s right without institutional red tape. Sychrony Brain Health offers deep TMS, neurofeedback, genomically informed pharmacology, integrated nutrition, somatic and other neuromodulation therapies in addition to traditional services.
Why This Role Stands Out:
Low direct care caseload—most of your time is spent consulting and collaborating with a deeply committed expert, senior clinical team.
Practice in a setting that values psychotherapy, neuroscience, research, and the power of long-term psychiatric care.
Join a program with exceptional retention—staff average over 10 years of tenure.
Strong professional development
No remote option – deep, in-person clinical and building relationships is central.
Affiliated with Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and local universities. Appointment an option.
Who We're Looking For:
A psychiatrist with exceptional residency training and experience.
Someone comfortable with clinical uncertainty and committed to continuous learning.
Broad experience in psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, OCD, substance abuse, psychosis, and mood disorders for high-risk patients.
Interest in leading and collaborating
Comfortable in a non-institutional, high-touch, research-driven private practice environment.
