About the Role:
We are seeking a Director of Membership who is strategic, relationship-driven, and passionate about growth. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role leads all aspects of membership strategy, recruitment, engagement, and retention for provider and business members. The Director supervises a Membership Manager (who oversees CRM, dues, and renewals), freeing the Director to focus on strategic growth, partnerships, and engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with advocacy, education, communications, and sponsorship teams and serve as a visible leader at major events, including the Annual Convention & Exposition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual membership growth and retention plans aligned with strategic goals
- Lead innovative strategies to enhance member value and drive revenue via sponsorships, partnerships, and events
- Recruit, onboard, and retain members across all categories; oversee renewals and dues revenue tracking
- Serve as the primary staff liaison for member services, the Membership Committee, and the Business Advisory Group
- Build and manage corporate relationships with business members, partners, and sponsors
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Membership Manager; ensure operational accuracy and timely processes
- Track and analyze membership trends, forecast growth, and present reports to senior leadership and the Board
- Manage exhibit hall and business member engagement at the Annual Convention; sell and fulfill sponsorships and exhibit booths
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience (membership development, business development, or sales)
- Demonstrated success driving growth and revenue
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Innovative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong professionalism and integrity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; YourMembership (YM) CRM experience preferred
