Southwest Medical, part of OptumCare, is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, 21 medical health centers including six urgent care clinics, four convenient care centers, two lifestyle centers catering to older adults, an outpatient surgery center, home health, hospice and palliative care services, plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology. Southwest Medical Associates is one of Nevada's largest multi-specialty medical groups. (SMA) Experience, Compassion, Innovation, Quality have been the very foundation of SMA since we formed in 1972. We serve a broad expanse of Southern Nevada communities. From 24-hour urgent care to convenient e-visit capabilities, we're bringing our patients the health care they want, the way they want it.
The CNA is a member of the hospice team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet patients' needs. The CNA is responsible for observations, documenting observations and care performed.
Our operations are seven days a week. The CNA will work any five days between the hours of 6am and 5pm. Weekends are required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient care including but not limited to baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, changing bed linens, assisting patients with dressing and undressing, keeping patients' living area clean and orderly
Assist with food preparation if requested/needed
Take vitals as needed
Assist in ambulation and exercise according to plan of care
Remind patients of self-administration of medication
Do laundry as appropriate
Report on patients' condition to assigned nurse
Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Current certified nursing assistant certification issued by state of Nevada Board of Nursing
CPR certified or certified before starting in position
1+ years of experience in an acute, hospice or home health setting
Microsoft Office proficiency
Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and / or patient sites within a designated area
Preferred Qualifications:
Home health or hospice experience
Experience with end of life care
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
