Tufts Medicine Primary Care is seeking multiple Primary Care Regional Medical Directors to oversee our primary care practices in the Greater Boston area. We are seeking tenured primary care physicians with the acumen to lead our practices to continued success and to support the goals of Tufts Medicine Primary Care across five domains: quality, patient experience, access, growth and financial stewardship. Key responsibilities of this role will include the following:

How you’ll transform patient care:
- You’ll manage day to day operations, clinical practice oversight, and staff engagement
- You’ll focus on patient care and develop longitudinal relationships with your patients
- You’ll own driving quality-based goals for your team through evidence-based practices, performance measurement, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- You’ll provide service and people focused support to meet the needs of patients, providers management and staff
- You’ll manage practice relationships with regional Specialists to keep care local and ensure that care referred to Specialists is high quality and effective
- You’ll work cross-functionally with executive level leadership to provide direction in the implementation of business and medical strategies, organizational initiatives, and priorities
- You’ll partner with the clinically integrated network to drive success in value-based contracting, including improving population health metrics, reducing the total cost of care, and achieving performance-based targets tied to risk-based agreements, all while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
- You’ll optimize access to care through innovative care models (e.g., team-based case, telehealth), efficient scheduling and panel management strategies.
- You’ll effectively manage, facilitate, and communicate organizational change
- You’ll ensure clinical functions foster the organization’s desired culture of service excellence, accountability and achieves established business goals
- You’ll partner with the Provider Recruitment and Retention team and leadership to design and implement retention programs to ensure the availability of a qualified workforce including temporary provider staffing

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $260,000 to $290,000 annually with additional compensation commensurate with leadership experience. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
